Telehealth platforms for weight loss, hormone optimization, and longevity are everywhere right now — and they vary wildly in quality. Some connect you with licensed physicians who genuinely monitor your treatment. Others are glorified prescription mills with a sleek website and a chatbot standing in for medical oversight.
I review these platforms based on what they actually provide: the clinical model, the provider credentials, the treatment options, the pricing transparency, and whether the “physician supervision” is meaningful or performative.

What I Look For in a Telehealth Platform
Is the medical oversight real? I want to know whether a licensed physician actually reviews your case, orders labs, and adjusts your treatment — or whether “physician oversight” means a nurse practitioner rubber-stamps a questionnaire you filled out in three minutes.
What happens after the prescription? The best platforms include follow-up labs, dosage adjustments, and ongoing monitoring. The worst ones write the script and disappear. I evaluate the full treatment lifecycle, not just the onboarding experience.
Pricing transparency. If I have to click through four pages to find out what something costs, that's a red flag I'll mention. I break down the actual monthly costs including consultations, labs, and medication — not just the number in the biggest font on the landing page.
Compounding pharmacy vs. brand-name. When a platform offers compounded semaglutide or liraglutide, I explain what compounding means, how it differs from brand-name medications, and the current regulatory landscape so you can make an informed decision.
